XBOX 360 Error Codes

If you are recieveing an error with you xbox 360 console you can identify the problem by doing the following

1. Turn the xbox 360 on and wait until the three red lights are flashing.

2. Press and hold down the 'Sync' button on the bottom left of the console.

3. While holding down the sync button press the eject button on the dvd drive

4. The console will flash the first number of the error code

5. Realease the eject button and press again.

6. Repeate this 3 more times until you have a 4 digit eror code.

How to read the display:

All four lights flashing - 0
One light flashing - 1
two lights flashing - 2
three lights flashing - 3

The error codes

0001- Power supply problem
0002- Network interface problem
0003- Power problem could be psu or the gpu/cpu the console is just not geting power
0010- Overheating
0011- Overheating
0012- Overheating
0013- Overheating
0020- Possibly Overheating
0021- DVD drive time out sometime cause by firmware flash or the south bridge chipset.
0022- Gup error/ Gpu overheating
0103- Cpu error / cpu overheating
0110- Memory Error/ Memory overheating.
1003- Harddrive error ( Could be the harddrive itself or the connection)
1010- Harddrive error (caused by a invalid or missing eprom)
1013- possibly a dashboard update error
1022- Av cable problem (also could be a problem with the encoder chip)
1023- DVD drive not connected
1444 and up - there is no 4 in the error codes (remember 4 lights is 0)

Some error codes are not listed as they are unknown.

Lol, I remember once I dropped my friends Xbox and it worked for like 2 minutes, then he ejected the disk and it froze.
