place simple html code on phpbb forum homepage?

hi all.. i need to get this problem fixed already... basically, heres what i want to happen..

In the index page, I want to show a 'gigantic' image button that, when clicked, would bring up a pop-up window with a shoutbox on it.. ill take care of the shoutbox thing.. but the pop-up html code in the index page is my problemmmm...

Hi,

Would you like it to be displayed in the header of the forum on every page or just the home page.

If you do want it in the overall header. Then in phpbb3 go to the ACP (Administration Control Panel) then click on styles then click on templates at the side. Then click the edit button next to the style you are using for your forum. Then you will need to select the template file (overall_header). Then scroll the the bottom of the code and insert you shout box code before the end </div> and </html> tags.

If you only want it on your homepage then you will have to download you index.php file from your server and edit the code and again you will need to work out using A web page editor where to insert the code.
