2.put your win xp disk in when the disk loads on the first screen press r to go into recovery console when in there you need to selected witch partition (properly only one) then type you password if you have one (if not just press enter) then type in fixmbrthen restart and install windows xp
3. if that does not work go back to the recovery console and type in fixboot instead of fixmbr
Pretty good instructions that could prove useful for those who want to switch from Vista to XP.
However, this does not consider the fact that for some laptops, you may have to load slipstream SATA and/or other drivers just to get Windows XP installed in the first place. Also, this doesn't take into account driver-find woes.
Also, users planning on doing this should back up their important data first, and be aware that this will wipe everything on your PC. In addition you will have to reinstall all programs that you would like back onto your computer.
