This site seems good and i believe it will grow into a big community but just to make it look more professional, don't you think you should add a logo to the site on the banner above?
I have seen the old logo and it had this black background which didn't look very nice but maybe if you use a PNG without the black background then it would look better don't you think?

I like the layout. Looks awesome. I also like how the bg of the logo always changes ><
